About UPSC Civil Services Recruitment 2017-18 -1090 Vacancies – Across India :

UPSC invites online application for the recruitment of various vacancies through Civil Services and Indian Forest Examination 2017. It is the most popular examination across India. The popular job posts are Indian Administrative Service ( IAS ), Indian Foreign Service ( IFS ) , Indian Police Service ( IPS ) and Indian Revenue Service ( IRS ) and many others.  The examination will be conducted in 3 phases – Preliminary, Mains and Personality Test ( Interview).  The commencement of filling and submitting online application will start from 22nd Feb 2017 and ends on 17th Mar 2017. The preliminary examination is scheduled to be held on June 2017 and mains examination tentatively on Oct 2017.

Eligibility Criteria :

Educational Qualification : Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or equivalent. Final year candidates can also apply for this provided they can give proof of passing before the main examination.

Selection Process and Paper Pattern :

Civil Services ( CSAT 2017 ) Preliminary Examination Paper Pattern :

The Preliminary Examination consists of two papers of Objective type (multiple choice questions) and carry maximum of 400 marks. This exam is only of qualifying nature; the marks obtained in the prelims are not counted for determining the final order of merit.
